1. Trim the wick before each use. Before lighting the candle, trim the wick to 1/4 inch to prevent soot and to ensure an even burn.

2. Burn the candle for at least 1 hour on the first use. This allows the wax to melt evenly across the surface of the candle, preventing tunneling and extending the life of the candle.

3. Burn the candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. This helps to prevent the wick from becoming too long and reduces the risk of the candle overheating.

4. Keep the candle away from drafts and flammable materials. This reduces the risk of the candle burning unevenly or accidentally catching something else on fire.

5. Extinguish the candle using a snuffer or lid. Blowing out the candle can cause wax to splatter and can cause the wick to smoke, so it's best to use a snuffer or the lid to extinguish the flame.

6. Store the candle in a cool, dry place. This helps to preserve the quality of the fragrance and ensures the candle remains in good condition.
